Krabi Day 3 - Tiger Cave (Wat Tham Sua)

Krabi | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3_Part 1 | Day3_Part 2 |

Continue to the Tiger Cave, Wat Tham Seua (Wat = Temple, Tham = Cave, Seua = Tiger). It is located close to Krabi Town. Tiger Cave is just located next to the place we did elephant ride.

A good plant decoration skill
Boyfriend said :" The tamest elephant he met"

First of all, there wasn't any real tigers living in the temple. It was once a tiger living in the temple. "Tiger cave" was just a small chamber with a tiger statue in it.

The most attractive part was the temple on the top of mountain, and the lovely scene from the top. We  passed by a Quan Yin temple before hiking up the mountain.

Guan Yin Temple

The statue of buddha

There were quite a few cute statue lining up there...

 Another cute 1...

Next, we were discussing whether to take up the challenge to hike up the steep 1237 staircase. Lastly, we decided to go up no matter how tiring was it. As it was a very rare chance to be here and we believed we deserved the hardship.

Here we start

The steps were getting steeper and steeper. It was really a bloody tiring trip

This was the sweet scene on the way. The beautiful scene motivated us to further the journey. We believed that the scene on the top was much more prettier.

Can you see that
Many tourists visit the place as well.
It's okay to rest in between... The most important is to keep the spirit up. Keep walking after the rest.

San jie was the lousiest
But we still manage to reach the top at last

Ya!!! We were so happy to see this building. This indicated that we almost reach.

The view on top
We can actually see the panoroma of krabi town in 180 degree\

Our bloody tired and sweating face

Side view of the bigbuddha statue

Don't get the meaning of this design

The others buddha statues

Ya!! The main character. The big buddha.
The buddha facing the Krabi Town and just look like Krabi Town will stay safe under the blessing of Buddha

We took the chance of some photo shooting

Take 2...

There is 4 face Buddha too

Another take of side view before going back

The way of going back wasn't easy too..
It was scary as the steps are too steep
So, we got to walk extra careful.
Yet, the legs start to pain and even start to shake after half of the journey
So, if anyone going there, please remember to bring sport shoes
to protect the leg and will feel better for sure

Finally, after about 45minutes walk we reached the ground again. It was a satisfying hike and we felt so pleasure to be there

The tiger was raising hand and seem like saying good bye

The tour guide has been waiting us at the entrance
We still managed to catch some photos of the new building under construction

A typical Thai culture.
Gold leave tree

The tiger head

Here the end of the trip and say good bye...
