The Famous "Sotong Mee" and 'Coconut Shake" in Esplanade Food Court

Hi travelers I guess there is a must try local food that you seriously can not miss if you are travelling in Pulau  Penang. Sotong Mee, or directly translated into English is "Squid Noodle".

I have heard of it for so long and today I finally have a chance to savor the famous noodle.

The food court can be reached pretty easily, it is just around the corner of Penang Unesco Heritage, just opposite the entrance of the Cornwallies.

The food court looks like a typical Malaysian food court, I mean no air-con and its not luxurious. Usually these "unluxurious" places are actually where you can taste the true cultures of Penang.

The dish looks so hot and spicy, you will be so delightful if you are feverish over spicy food. It is quite spicy, the squid is cut into slices, and are easily chewable. You must squeeze the piece of lime comes with the noodle, because it makes the taste wonderful.

The price of the food is reasonable, it ranges from RM 4.00 to RM 6.00 (subject to change), depends on the size you ordered. If you order extra squid slices, don't feel stunned by a higher price.

The price mainly depends on the size you order

They expect you to order fast when their business is busy, but they don't scold
This is the look of the delicious Sotong Mee
This is without spicy source one because my friend doesn't like spicy . I don't think is good.

~Coconut Shake~
If you can't eat spicy food or you can't stand the spiciness, there is a solution for you, "Coconut Shake", which is also another attraction of this food court. The price is RM 2.50 for a glass. This beverage is a mixture of coconut and vanilla ice cream, you can see the ice cream float submerges from the glass. It is sweet and icy, especially you know Malaysia is an equatorial country, the weather is so hot. It effectively relieves your heat.

This is so sexy and attractive when the weather is damn hot
The stall looks ordinary but they sell extraordinary Drink
So if you have a chance to visit the Great Cornwallies, why don't you have a lunch over there. Oh yeah, There are also other delicious food in the food court. Cheers!!!
